I arrived at Ramen Jiro Jimbocho Store, located about a 4-minute walk from Jimbocho Station.
I arrived at 3:30 p.m. on a weekday, but there were about 30 people lined up in front of the store. It’s very popular…
I ordered Ramen 900 yen. I ordered half noodles and extra vegetables, garlic, and oil. In hindsight, I should have gotten extra extra garlic and less oil.
The Kanda Jimbocho stop always serves ramen that exceeds a high level of passing marks.
The noodles offer a quality taste that ranks within the top 3 among Ramen Jiro branches.
They are slightly on the softer side, so many people order them firmer.
For Jiro beginners, ordering “half” for the noodle portion is definitely the right choice.
You’ll likely find yourself wondering during the meal if the server actually gave you the half portion because it feels so plentiful.
The soup is completely emulsified. However, even those who prefer non-emulsified soup will be impressed with this one.
It’s a bit sad that there is no ladle to fully savor the soup.
The pork chashu comes with two slices. Both the taste and the tenderness are top-notch.
The vegetables are also cooked to perfection and delicious.
The garlic is not too strong, so you might want to ask for extra.
Quail eggs are 5 for 100 yen. The quail eggs weren’t really necessary to order.
The line is particularly long. The turnover rate is considerably worse than other Jiro branches.
While other stores usually turn over one lot in about 15 minutes, it takes about 25 minutes here.
As a result, even if you think you can eat within an hour at other branches, it takes quite a bit longer here.
Next time, I’ll order with half noodles, extra vegetables, extra extra garlic, and less fat.
