I visited Fukamidori, a popular ramen shop located in a remote part of Higashi-Matsuyama City in Saitama Prefecture.
It’s a branch of the well-known Yotsuba chain.
I ordered the black broth ramen (黒出汁) for 1250 yen and the moromi pork char-grilled rice bowl for 500 yen, totaling 1750 yen.
This is quite expensive for ramen.
The noodles were thin with a chewy, mochi-mochi texture.
The soup was rich, yet easy to drink; I was able to finish it all. The woman sitting next to me also drank all of her soup.
The chashu was quite delicious. You can choose between belly, shoulder, or loin cuts. I chose the loin based on a recommendation.
The char-grilled pork rice bowl had a wonderful aroma and was quite delicious.
Next time, i wanna eat white broth ramen.
