I’ve come to the ramen shop Ichiran, located about a 3-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro Station. When I arrived at 5:30 PM on a weekday, there was a total of about 10 people waiting inside and outside.
I ordered Ramen for 980 yen.

Overall, the taste was average. It used to impress me in the past.
I chose regular thin noodles with a standard level of softness, but they felt a bit too soft for my taste, so I asked for firmer noodles when I ordered kaedama (extra noodles).
The soup was tasty but a bit lukewarm. It became even cooler with the kaedama. This was the biggest downside for me.
The chashu was somewhat small but tender. It was delicious.
