I visited a ramen shop with the unique name “Life is better… from yume wo kataru,” located just a 1-minute walk from Waseda Station.
When I went there 10 minutes before opening on a weekday, there was only one person waiting. By 18:10, there were only five people inside the shop.
There was no ticket vending machine, and the staff were manually taking orders and money. It didn’t seem very efficient.
I ordered a small ramen (with 200g of noodles) and chose vegetables, garlic, and oil as my free toppings.
The overall quality of this Jiro-style ramen is high.
The noodles are suitably thick, the soup is somewhat strong, and the toppings are impeccable.
The staff are also kind, making it recommended for those new to Jiro-style ramen.
They were holding a tailboard meeting three minutes before opening. Repeating “Irasshai-mase” and talking about dreams were part of it, which I found quite wonderful.
Next time i come, i will eat the same ramen.
